Natalie Tong To Take 6-Month Break; Developed Skin Problems ’Cos She Was Overworked
The TVB actress said her immune system has been weakened, and her doctor advised her to stop work for the time being.
At the wrap party for upcoming TVB drama, The Invisible Team, Natalie Tong, 39, revealed that she intends to take an extended break from work.
Reporters noted that Natalie had multiple “bumps" on her face, and the actress readily admitted that her skin condition was due to overwork.
All work and no play
According to Natalie, her immunity has weakened, causing her to develop allergies to 20 types of food, including rice, pork, cheese, and cucumbers.
As a result, her doctor advised her to stop work for the time being.
The actress went on to share that her symptoms started appearing nine months ago.
“[It was] when we went to Shenzen to shoot Big White Duel II, it’s been coming and going for the past nine months,” she said. She added that she has asked TVB for a six-month break from work.
However, she’s not certain when she would return, as that would depend on her condition.
Get well soon, Natalie!
Thankfully, it seems like fans of Natalie will not have to despair just yet.
She has four upcoming projects that have yet to be released, which means there’ll be more than enough to tide everyone through her break.
One of those dramas, The Righteous Fists, will be debut on Jan 10.
