Netizen Claims Angelababy Is In Quarantine After Meeting With A “Rich Businessman” Who Tested Positive For COVID-19

A netizen’s post claiming that Angelababy, 33, is now quarantining herself after coming in contact with a person who’d tested positive for COVID-19 went viral online earlier this week. Sounds pretty standard, especially in this new normal, right?

But here's what got people interested.

According to the netizen’s post, the person that Angelababy met is a “rich businessman”, and that she'd flown in to Shanghai specifically to meet him, insinuating that the meeting was actually a romantic date.

  The viral post claimed that the actress was "forced" to quarantine herself as a result of the date. The netizen even went on to say: “When you’re doing your [COVID tests at a test centre], keep your eyes peeled, you might even bump into her.”

  Angelababy announced her divorce from Chinese actor Huang Xiaoming, 44, in January this year, after much speculation about their strained relationship. They were married for seven years, and have a five-year-old son nicknamed Little Sponge.

  Thankfully, Angelababy managed to shut down these speculations less than a day after the post went viral.

  The actress uploaded a selfie with the caption: “I'm still doing my best at work, has everyone knocked off yet?”

  Though she did not address the netizen’s post directly, it was clear from her caption that there was no way she’s currently in quarantine. Another netizen also posted pictures of Angelababy, revealing that they’d run into the actress filming for her next project.

  Angelababy's manager also uploaded a post, calling for netizens to “stop starting rumours, [‘cos] it’ll easily cause your mouth to rot”.
