Pics Of Barbie Hsu’s Husband DJ Koo Getting His Scalp Tattooed Go Viral, Looks Like It’s Really Painful

The Korean star's bald head was never meant to be a fashion statement.

If there’s something Korean singer DJ Koo is known for other than his surprise marriage with Taiwanese actress Barbie Hsu, 45, in March this year, it would definitely be his bald head.

In fact, Barbie called him “Guang Tou” (or 'bald head' in Mandarin) when she first met him on Taiwanese reality show 100% Entertainment two decades ago.

You must be thinking, a bald head like that should be really easy to maintain, right?

Wrong. At least for DJ Koo, keeping his iconic bald pate requires a lot of work, and is more painful than you'd ever imagine.

Damn, that looks really uncomfortable

Recently, pics of DJ Koo getting a hair tattoo have been circulating online.

For those who don't know, a hair tattoo or scalp micropigmentation, is a non-surgical, cosmetic tattoo that creates the illusion of a close buzz cut hairstyle.

In the pics, DJ Koo was seen lying face-down on a bed while a tattoo artist pricks his scalp with tiny, layered dots to mimic the appearance of natural hair follicles.

Sounds painful, right?

DJ Koo now and then. Yes, that's a young DJ Koo wearing a headband

And in case you're wondering, no, DJ Koo's bald look was never meant to be a fashion statement.

He started losing his hair when he was 25. Instead of wearing a cap or using a headscarf to hide his hair loss every time he appeared at public events, he decided to shave his head completely.

DJ Koo also revealed that back in the day, he would even cover up his bald spots using black coloured hair sprays.
