Quan Yifeng Says Dasmond Koh Took Her To Eat Hai Di Lao When She Was Sick... & It Made Her Feel “Not Scared” & “Not Lonely”

Well, steamboat does make everything better.

When it comes to showbiz pals, few are as close as hosts Dasmond Koh, 50, and Quan Yifeng, 48.

Last night (May 25), Yifeng posted a dedication on Instagram to Das, summing up their friendship with, um, Hai Di Lao and some very delicious instant noodles?

Yifeng wrote "I told him I was sick, and after he ended work at midnight, [he] took me to eat steamboat, [that] really made me feel not scared and lonely."

"Then he fell sick, after I ended work, I very happily devoured a scrumptious bowl of instant noodles in front of him, while he pitifully ate a bowl of very pathetic-looking porridge," added Yifeng.

"I think this is what friendship is all about," she quipped.

"Thank you for always supporting me silently, even though I look so crazy and heartless, all your little actions still managed to move me."

"[I] Can never bring myself to say these words of gratitude when we meet," Yifeng professed, joking that "pranking [him] makes [her] feel more comfortable."

Dasmond Koh reply to Quan Yi Feng post

In response to Yifeng's touching post, Dasmond wrote: "We'll grow old together" with a heart-shaped emoji.

In case you're wondering where the two went for hotpot, Yifeng shared in her reply to a curious follower that they were at Hai Di Lao.

Neitzens were also tickled by Yifeng's dedication, with one commenting: "Now I know when you're sick you don't see a doctor but eat steamboat instead".

One netizen even teased Yifeng for being Dasmond's pseudo wife by calling her "the luckiest 'Mrs Koh'."

Joining in the fun, Ben Yeo commented, "Wait till I come back from Malaysia, let's go for pizza, prawn noodles and fish head steamboat, [let's] be young together and feel good about ourselves."

Yifeng's daughter, Beijing-based star Eleanor Lee, also took the chance to express her gratitude towards the NoonTalk Media head honcho for being there for her mother, writing "Thank you Uncle Dasmond."

Through all the ups and the downs

This is just one of the many times Yifeng has openly showed her appreciation for Dasmond.

In the episode of Hear You Out which featured Dasmond as the guest, Yifeng shared how Das stood by her through two of the lowest points of her life: her divorce from 53-year-old actor Peter Yu in 2009, and her altercation with a taxi driver in 2010.

An emotional Yifeng also revealed that Dasmond is one of the three people she's closest to in showbiz, the other two being Guo Liang and Bryan Wong.
