Raymond Lam Loves Looking At His Reflection, Would Use Knives In Restaurants As Mirrors
Ron Ng spilled his pal's secret for looking sharp all the time.
It's not breaking news that male celebs love checking themselves out in the mirror. (Hello, Tyler Ten?)
But 42-year-old Hong Kong actor Raymond Lam's love affair with his own reflection is on a whole 'nother level.
We mean, if we looked like Raymond we'd love looking in the mirror too
In a recent episode of Chinese reality competition Call Me By Fire 2, Hong Kong actor Ron Ng shared with fellow contestants Richie Ren and Zhang Junning that his bestie Raymond is a “mirror monster.”
"The mirror is his life," joked Ron, adding that "it's good to be vain, but [Raymond] would tilt his body in front of the mirror to look at himself even in shopping malls."
Raymond's obsession with his reflection goes way back.
Chatting about his experience working with Raymond on 2004 TVB drama Twin of Brothers, Ron said: "I left the room to do my hair and make-up first. When I was done and went back to the room, I saw him staring in the mirror and not having moved at all."
Mirror mirror on the wall, who's the most handsome one of all?
So what did Raymond have to say about this? "I was practicing! I needed to practice how to do my expressions properly and it's not like we'd have make-up artists with us during the scene, so what are we actors to do?" he said.
"Sometimes when we were filming in a restaurant, there would be knives right? I would use the flat blade of the knife [as a mirror] to check my reflection from all angles."
