After having way too much to eat on her 55th birthday over the weekend, the only thing Chen Xiuhuan had on her mind was shedding those calories.

Her workout of choice? A 11km hike at MacRitchie Reservoir with her two friends, erstwhile actresses Phyllis Quek and Angela Ang.

“I’ve eaten too much on my birthday. Now it’s time to exercise! Here are my walking buddies today!” Xiuhuan chirped in an Instastory uploaded yesterday (Oct 12).

Of course, Xiuhuan also made it clear that protection — from both COVID-19 and the sun — is important. She kept her mask on most of the time (except when taking pictures) and wore a UV protection sweater.

Just when we thought she was done Instagramming, Xiuhuan bumped into another one of her pals, and who else could it be but avid hiker Zoe Tay, who was out hiking with a friend.

Obviously, both stars immediately took to their socials to document the serendipitous meeting.

After taking a couple of hilarious group pics, the ladies went to grab a meal at a fishball noodle stall nearby 'cos they deserve a treat, right?

“We walked 11km, so we get to eat a big meal!” laughed Phyllis on IG Story, only for her to realise that it might not be such a good idea after all. “Sigh, we walked for nothing!” she added.

Don't worry ladies, you can always go hiking tomorrow!
