All the photos that made us hungry this week.

All the photos that made us hungry this week.

This week, Fann Wong, Christopher Lee brought Zed Zed out for a visually arresting omakase meal; Li Nanxing ate his fill of Yunnan cuisine, Thomas Ong got to snack on lots of traditional kueh, and Ya Hui whipped up a complete meal for her folks for the very first time. #achievementunlocked

1 of 21 Ann Kok

What she ate: Contemporary Sichuan cuisine

Yummy factor: Ann brought her friend out for a contemporary Sichuan meal at Birds of a Feather, ordering spice-filled dishes like the Oriental Bolognese, Angel Hair Pasta and Braised Mapo Tofu. Of course, they had to cool themselves off with refreshing cocktails (pretty ones, no less) after.

2 of 21 Christopher Lee, Fann Wong and Zed Zed

What they ate: Omakase meal

Yummy factor: Hugo Boss and Morsels have teamed up to create an omakase menu, and Chris and Fann brought Zed along to enjoy it. The Norweigian Fjord Trout caught our eye with its myriad of colours, thanks to blue pea flower pollack dashi, compressed strawberry, ikura and red curry rempah oil.

3 of 21 Li Nanxing and Constance Song

What he ate: 'Highland cuisine', or food which is unique to the high-altitude Yunnan province.

Yummy factor: Nanxing and Constance attended the grand opening of Chinese resto Yun Nans' third outlet at Nex, and boy did they have a feast. From pao fan (cooked rice served in a broth) to spicy fish and la zi ji (fried mala chicken), as well as steam pot chicken soup and grilled pumpkin, there were yummy dishes galore.

4 of 21 Chen Xiuhuan

What she ate: Snow skin mooncakes

Yummy factor: With the Mid-Autumn Festival fast approaching, Xiuhuan got down to making her own #aesthetic mooncakes with help from her girls, Shalynn and Shanisse Tsai. The snow skin creations boast flavours like green tea and bubble tea, and although Xiuhuan thinks they don’t look fantastic, we’re loving the bold hues.

5 of 21 Andrea De Cruz

What she ate: Piping hot buns

Yummy factor: Like the look of Andrea’s buns? Well, this batch in particular was made with Le Beurre Bordier butter, so you can expect the fluffy golden-brown treats to be extra rich and addictive!

6 of 21 Justin Ang

What he ate: Seafood platter

Yummy factor: Justin had the hot seafood platter from Fremantle Seafood Market at Clarke Quay, and although it’s meant for three to four people, he polished off most of it and more. Well, with tantalising items like baked scallops, whole lobsters, crispy soft-shell crabs, as well as white wine clams served with garlic bread, we aren’t surprised that Justin couldn’t resist trying them all.

7 of 21 Mei Xin

What she ate: Vegetarian-friendly dim sum from popular meat substitute Quorn

Yummy factor: Mei Xin could not stop raving about her meat-free siew mai, char siew pau, gyoza and glutinous rice and how the plant-based alternatives taste similar to the real deal. How real? She gave the siew mai a 60 for overall taste without sauce and 75 with sauce . As for the char siew pau, the taste is really good but the filling did not have enough gravy and the skin was a bit thick.

8 of 21 Tracy Lee

What she ate: Comforting soup

Yummy factor: Tracy had her favourite bowl of soup at what looks like a food court after a long and tiring hike with Zoe Tay. Piled high with plenty of fried shallots and chopped spring onions, we bet the simple meal tasted extra delicious after that calorie-busting nature walk!

9 of 21 Ya Hui

What she ate: Home-cooked meal

Yummy factor: It’s the first time Ya Hui has ever whipped up more than one dish by herself, and we must say she nailed it with her maiden attempt with fresh ingredients from a friend. After seeing her stir-fried kang kong, scrambled eggs with bitter gourd and more, even her mama has agreed to let her cook for the family from now on. Impressive.

10 of 21 Fiona Xie

What she ate: Assam curry

Yummy factor: Fiona had the assam seafood curry with rice at 1880 Singapore, and we love how it was served in a claypot that probably kept the tangy gravy warm till the last drop. Psst... We’d go for a second bowl of rice. Don’t waste the curry, right?

11 of 21 Pornsak

What he ate: Fatty char siew

Yummy factor: In this week’s edition of #FattyPornPorn, Pornsak couldn’t resist taking a bite of Mott 32’s Barbecue Pluma Iberico Pork — char siew so tender and fatty it’s almost a crime. In any case, it’s probably perfect with the lobster fried rice, as well as the tantalising sugar-coated Duck Buns!

12 of 21 Dasmond Koh

What he ate: Taiwanese-style bento

Yummy factor: Dasmond made sure he ate well despite his busy schedule. Check out his hearty bento from Taiwanese resto Taiker Song — it’s filled with wholesome ingredients like juicy grilled chicken thigh with pickled vegetables, braised eggs and battered fried long beans.

13 of 21 Julie Tan

What she ate: Cakes galore

Yummy factor: It’s Julie’s birthday week (she turned 28 on Sep 22) and she’s been busy celebrating with friends and family who’ve been spoiling her with their love. From a chocolate creation to an OTT confection topped with champagne , macarons and chocolate, as well as a simple one from loved ones that made her burst into tears with happiness, Julie has had plenty of cake to celebrate with!

14 of 21 Thomas Ong

What he ate: Lots of kueh

Yummy factor: A regular delivery of durian mooncakes to a customer turned out to be an opportunity for Thomas to dig into all sorts of traditional kueh — think silky smooth soon kueh and steamed glutinous rice — how could he resist? Apparently, his customer’s mum has been making and selling these goodies for decades, and Thomas couldn’t get enough of them.

15 of 21 You Yi

What she ate: Dim sum

Yummy factor: A starving You Yi chanced upon Hong Kong Dim Sum Shop after work and promptly sat down for a late supper, ordering everything from polo buns and chee cheong fun, to steaming hot har gao and siew mai. It’s safe to say she definitely left with a satisfyingly full stomach.

16 of 21 Fann Wong

What she ate: Dark chocolate cake

Yummy factor: We’re loving Fann’s heart-shaped cake — not only does it look delicious, it’s multi-tiered and dripping in chocolate sauce. Made with dark chocolate from Venchi, it even has a surprise centre featuring fresh blueberries and strawberries.

17 of 21 Apple Hong

What she ate: Keto-friendly crackling

Yummy factor: Apple couldn’t be more excited to have her snacks delivered from online store Carbs for Keto — especially when the treats in question are keto-friendly. Of course she had to have some as an afternoon snack — the Keetos mala-flavoured pork rinds were a winner for her.

18 of 21 Seraph Sun

What she ate: Cold cuts and cheeses

Yummy factor: Seraph’s date night at the vintage-esque My Awesome Cafe saw her tucking into cold cuts like salami and parma ham, as well as cheeses with lots of nuts and dried fruits paired with sliced baguettes. Yum!

19 of 21 Sharon Au

What she ate: Egg sandwich from Eggslut

Yummy factor: Although Sharon had to serve her 14-day quarantine in London, things don’t seem too bad. After all, she still got to enjoy crispy Korean-style fried chicken as well as creamy scrambled egg sandwich from the famed Los Angeles sandwich brand, Eggslut.

20 of 21 Yvonne Lim

What she ate: Souffle cake

Yummy factor: With her birthday (Sep 28) just around the corner, Yvonne took a break from baking and headed out with her girlfriends for lovely meals and sweet treats instead. Think comforting nosh like duck confit and plenty of cake — including a generously-sized souffle creatio.

21 of 21 Jean Danker

What she ate: Birthday cakes

Yummy factor: Jean celebrated her birthday (Sep 24) in advance with her fam bam, and it’s clear that cakes are a priority for her. After all, she had not one, but two whole cakes for the celebratio — a Dark Forest Gateau cake from BreadTalk, as well as Sinpopo’s signature Pandan Kaya cake.
