Jacelyn Tay Shares Useful ‘No Helper’ Lifehacks For Busy Working Mums

No helper? No problem!

Former Mediacorp actress Jacelyn Tay is a really, really busy woman. The 46-year-old, who was last seen on screen in 2015's Crescendo, runs wellness centre Body Inc and takes care of her 74-year-old mother and 10-year-old son, Zavier.

She handles all the housework and cooking at home too, with time left over for her hobbies, like gardening, mahjong, and of course, indulging in some whiskey.

How does she do it? Well, Jacelyn’s now revealing her secrets on TikTok.

In the two videos she has posted, she outlines some time-saving life hacks that she swears helps “prevent unnecessary added tasks”.

1 of 3 Multi-tasking

In her first video, Jacelyn revealed that she wipes her shower screen immediately after her shower.

“Wiping it immediately saves time, water and chemical glass cleaner (I only use it for thorough cleaning when necessary),” writes Jacelyn.

A very simple tip, but one that Jacelyn’s followers really liked.

“ I think I learn more from you than from my own parents, wrote one netizen, whose mum and dad we hope are not on social media. Another netizen commented: “Great minds think alike. In my household, everyone does that after a bath.”

2 of 3 Raise your hand if you hate ironing too!

Today (Jul 23), Jacelyn shared her next lifehack. This time, it was one that helps “save time on ironing clothes”.

“Soon we have to give helpers a mandatory day off. My suggestion to all is to be independent as far as possible. Even with a helper, make their life easier by simplifying household chores.”

So what’s her trick to avoid ironing?

“Introducing the new era of stress-free clothes. Dry-fit tees, [and] iron-free shorts,” wrote Jacelyn, at the same time sharing a video of some of her son's clothes.

“‘Anyway the only meeting they’ll have is with Spiderman,” she went on to write, before cutting to a shot of her Xavier dressed in a Spider-Man costume.

3 of 3 Spider-Man's too busy saving the city to iron his clothes

“My son said: ‘I know why Spiderman wears dry-fit. He has no time to iron clothes.’ Neither do I,” added Jacelyn.

Needless to say, we’re really looking forward to more lifehacks from Jacelyn.
