Love is in the air.

Chinese Valentine's Day — not to be confused with '520 Day' — falls on the seventh day of the seventh lunar month every year. And our local stars took the opportunity to share their declarations of love, with one couple announcing that they're now engaged.

Read on for more.

1 of 8 Zhang Zhenhuan's wife likened their relationship to Niu Lang and Zhi Nu

Zhenhuan, who's currently in Singapore, and Sally, who's in China, weren't able to spend Valentine's Day together.

Sally, who is clearly feeling a little love sick, wrote on her Instagram: How I wish I could close the distance between us and give you a hug, instead of hugging my phone and telling you that I miss you.

She then ended her post with, Everyone has become Zhi Nu and Niu Lang because of the pandemic .

In case you don't know, Zhi Nu and Niu Lang aka the Weaver Girl and the Cowherd were star-crossed lovers in Chinese folklore who could only reunite on the seventh day of the seventh lunar month once a year. Their love story is the inspiration behind Chinese Valentine's Day.

2 of 8 Singer Boon Hui Lu announced that she's engaged

The 27-year-old singer wrote a love letter to her music producer fiancé Cheong Waii Hoong: To my dear Waiihoong, a month ago, you asked me to marry you. I never imagined that two university students who met because of music would become friends, lovers, and soon-to-be family.

Thank you for tolerating me and always telling me that you'll be by my side (…) I won't be afraid as long as I face the world with you. Thank you for being my first love. Thank you for allowing me to be lucky enough to meet my soulmate and never having to look for you again. So thank you, I love you, and yes I will.

The Singaporeans were based in Taiwan but are said to have recently returned home. Hui Lu represented Singapore in Taiwanese singing contest Million Star in 2012, and Waii Hoong is the founder of music production company Reason Brothers in Taiwan along with fellow Singaporean singer Kenny Khoo.

5 of 8 Tay Kewei revealed that her hubby Alfred Sim was never her type... but opposites do attract

Kewei recounted, We dated for about 10 years before getting married… my type was tall, lanky, boyish and of course I married the complete opposite. It’s like I was team Vampire ended up with the Werewolf.

I never exercised but he’s a national sprinter turned coach. I’m nerdy & he’s street smart. He’s a great cook & I absolutely suck. I edit all his IG captions and am his grammar police. He makes me laugh though I roll my eyes most of the time at his jokes. But we admire and appreciate each other’s strengths, we both love singing, we both work really hard to be better versions of ourselves and spur each other on. 6 years and 2 kids later, there’s still a lifetime of adventures ahead.
