Forget COVID-19. It's love that's in the air.

In 2020 alone, we’ve seen a string of celeb engagements. Benjamin Kheng, Ah Boys To Men star Joshua Tan as well as Mediacorp actor James Seah have all popped the big question to their significant others. Then there's Ase Wang and Maxi Lim, who have both walked down the aisle with their respective partners after getting engaged earlier this year.

And joining the club is 2005 Project Superstar champion Kelvin Tan, who recently got engaged to his girlfriend of two years.

The news was made public last Friday (Oct 9), when a friend of the visually impaired singer congratulated him on his engagement via a Facebook post.

“Heartiest congratulations to the just-engaged couple!” the friend wrote, along with a pic of Kelvin and his fiancee, whose identity remains a secret.

1 of 1 Congrats to the couple!

The 39-year-old singer's management has confirmed the engagement. According to Chinese news outlet Lianhe Zaobao, Kelvin wants to keep a low profile and declined getting interviewed.

Kelvin, who currently works as a guide for Ngee Ann Polytechnic's Dialogue In The Dark, once told another publication in April that he had applied for BTO with his girlfriend but there were some delays in the process because of COVID-19.
