Shaun Chen & Zhang Yaodong Share Ghost Stories; One Of Them Has Picture Proof Of Ghost On Caldecott Hill

So creepy.

What topic will surely come up during a late night live stream session with your buddies? Extra-spooky ghost stories, of course.

When Christopher Lee, Chen Hanwei, Shaun Chen and Zhang Yaodong went live on Instagram last Saturday (June 12), their conversation took a chilling turn about an hour into the stream.

It all started when a mischievous netizen wrote this: “Yaodong, who’s behind you?”

A startled Yaodong then turns around to check, but of course, there’s no one behind him. And that, became the catalyst for the actor to share this really, really, creepy ghostly encounter that a fellow Mediacorp artiste had experienced.

By the way, I’m not sure if I can share this, but a few nights ago, I was suffering from insomnia and couldn’t sleep. It was about three to four in the morning, and a notification popped up on my phone, asking me to clear my phone’s memory ‘cos it was full. I started deleting pictures, and suddenly came across this picture, which had a “thing” inside.” he said.

“It was taken at the old Mediacorp campus [on Caldecott Hill] by LOVE 972 DJ Violet Fenying, who was taking selfies before her show. When she was going through the photos later, she realised that there was an extra person in the background of one photo,” Yaodong said.

Here's the creepy part: that unidentified apparition was headless and dressed in Qing Dynasty clothes.

Oh, and there’s picture proof too.

After a bit of hemming and hawing on Yaodong’s part, as he wasn’t sure if the photo was “safe to show”, Hanwei eventually flashed the photo onscreen.

And here it is:

According to Yaodong, if you were to zoom in and focus on the door’s glass panel, you’d also be able to see a disembodied human head peeking in. Yikes.

Got the chills yet? Here’s one more ghostly encounter, shared by Shaun during the live stream.

4 of 4 A midnight visitor

According to Shaun, this happened when he was shooting The Journey: Tumultuous Times in Penang.

“The hotel we were staying at wasn’t exactly new, and I was so tired that I fell asleep [after filming]. And in the middle of the night, I felt that there was someone touching me, but I couldn’t move at all. It felt like there was someone pushing me down. Mustering up all my strength, I turned over, and started scolding the ‘ghost' immediately. I knew that there must’ve been something dirty disturbing me, so I started scolding it. And it worked, the ghost disappeared,” Shaun said.

Yikes… guess it’s just as well that we can’t travel or stay in unfamiliar hotels right now.
