I found him intelligent and bright-eyed,” said Dasmond, as tears welled up in his eyes.

Aloysius’s thoughtful and restrained personality had endeared him to many of his colleagues and as a result, many of them ended up confiding in him. “I don’t have many friends in the showbiz, and the ones you can trust are even fewer. He made people feel warm. When we think of him, we don’t think about the gifts he got us, but the time we’ve spent together.”

Another thing that stood out for us was how filial he was to his parents.“He was a very filial son. Be it every career decision he had to make, or the next step he had to take, or his plans for the future, his parents would be his first priority,” said Bryan. “He was well-mannered and sensible. He’d be the son or grandson you’d hope to have,” added Biren. But it was Hong Huifang who said it best: “Many parents would love to have a son like you. If reincarnation were real, I'd fight with your mum over you.”

Singaporeans have been in a state of grief since news of Aloysius Pang’s death broke on January 23. And judging from the many touching tributes from celebs as well as the public about the late actor, it’s safe to say that everyone now knows how well-liked and good a person Aloy was when he was still alive.

But just when you think that there possibly can’t be any more stories about the impact Aloy has had on the people around him, Ch 8 aired a half-hour tribute show last night, detailing more moving anecdotes about the actor. We teared up a few times during the show, and were especially moved by how genuine and sweet the grief-stricken celebs were as they remembered their late pal.
