Aaron Kwok, 55, has been spending a lot more time with his family since the COVID-19 pandemic put a temporary pause to his jet-setting ways.

According to the Hongkong media, this means he’s now able to dedicate his Saturdays to his family, which is why he's often been spotted out and about with his wife Moka Fang, 33, and their two daughters Chantelle, three, and Charlotte, one.

Earlier this month, media outlet Singtao spotted the Kwoks and Moka’s mother on one such outing, where they were seen going shopping at a mall in Repulse Bay before dinner.

On the way to the restaurant, Aaron removed his mask to sip on a beverage and didn't seem to mind the starstruck pedestrians around him.

Now that Hongkong is in its fourth wave of COVID-19 infections, the government has banned dining services after 6pm. But because Aaron and his family shopped till about 5pm, they could only sit at their table for about 20 minutes before leaving the restaurant, the food they ordered unfinished.

The photos of Aaron's failed dinner outing have impressed netizens. “I’ve heard of people throwing tantrums because they want to finish their food, but Aaron Kwok just accepted [the regulations] and left,” one remarked.

Another quipped, “The next time someone complains about the 6pm rule, I’ll just ask them why they think they deserve privileges when Aaron Kwok can abide to it.”
