Andy Lau Was Once Seen Gazing Lovingly At His Wife’s Photos While On A Flight From Malaysia

It looks like other flight attendants have been inspired to share stories about their own celebrity encounters after a former Cathay Pacific air stewardess known as “Ah Sa” got the ball rolling a couple of weeks ago. Ah Sa, who was retrenched after the airline went through some drastic corporate restructuring, did a juicy live stream exposing 10 of the nicest Hongkong celebrity passengers, as well as 10 of the worst.

Recently, another Hongkong air stewardess called “Tsar” shared a cute anecdote about Andy Lau on social media. She reported that the Heavenly King is very popular among flight attendants as he is always very polite, and even returns his plates to them with both hands after he is done with his meal.

“Although it’s a very simple gesture, there aren’t actually a lot of good passengers who do this,” Tsar explained.

That wasn’t the main point of her tale, though. Once, Andy was on a first-class flight from Kuala Lumpur to Hongkong alone, with no manager or personal assistant in sight. According to Tsar, he hadn’t gone public with his Malaysian wife Carol Chu at that time, but looking back, it was obvious that he had gone to visit her or her family.

Tsar went on to say that while Andy had been very careful to keep his relationship under wraps, at least in the public eye, he had no qualms about taking out his laptop and was gazing lovingly at photos of himself with Carol almost throughout the entire flight, even in front of the cabin crew. The air stewardess said that this display of affection for his wife left a lasting impression on her, and fans who read her account gushed, “It’s true love!”

Andy and Carol tied the knot in Las Vegas in 2008 after over 20 years of dating, but he did not admit to it until the following year. There were, of course, lots of rumours and ‘hints’ about their romance, such as the time the superstar showed up at Carol’s sister’s wedding the same year they got married, as well as when he attended the funeral of Carol’s father in 2009. The couple welcomed their only daughter Hanna in 2012.
