And you thought the Star Search 2019 Grand Finals couldn’t get any more exciting. After announcing who this year’s finalists are at the end of the tonight’s semis, hosts Guo Liang and Kym Ng dropped another surprise. The three judges for the finals on November 3 are... Hongkong superstars Carina Lau, Simon Yam and Stephen Fung.
Carina Lau, long considered one of Asian cinema’s greatest beauties, is also an award-winning actress. She and her husband Tony Leung are often called one of showbiz's most-envied couples.
Simon Yam is one of Hongkong’s most respected and well-loved movie stars. He recently made headlines when he was stabbed by an assailant at a public event in China.
Stephen Fung is one of the few stars to successfully transition from teen idol to acclaimed director. He recently directed Netflix’s first martial arts drama, Wu Assassins. He is also married to screen beauty Shu Qi.
Star Search 2019 Grand Finals will air on Nov 3, 7pm on Ch 8 and Toggle.
