Hongkong actress Carina Lau's family have found themselves in the spotlight, thanks to the 55-year-old actress' love of Instagram.

On Tuesday (Jan 12), Carina posted a photo with her sister-in-law Laura on Instagram, wishing her a happy birthday.

Intrigued by what they saw, the media checked out Laura's personal IG and found that she had posted a family pic featuring Carina, Carina’s mum, younger brother, and nephew that taken at the bash.

Missing in action was Carina’s hubby, actor Tony Leung, who was busy promoting his new movie, Chinese action thriller Fox Hunt.

The media immediately praised Carina’s 72-year-old mother for her sophisticated style, adding that it's clear that the actress has inherited her good genes.

Carina’s good-looking architect nephew Jeff Lau has also found himself the centre of attention.

The actress has always been close to Jeff and he occasionally makes appearances on her social media platforms.

In 2017, Carina attended Jeff's convocation at the University of Nottingham and ended up spamming social media with pics of her UK trip like any proud aunt would do.

According to Hongkong media, as Carina and Tony do not have any children, they treat Jeff as their kid and that means he could inherit Carina’s vast fortune in the future.
