Cecilia Cheung ‘Likes’ An IG Photo Of Ex-Love Rival Faye Wong; Netizens Believe There’s No More Bad Blood Between The 2 Stars
We wonder if Nicholas Tse likes the sound of that.
With social media, celebs have come under even greater scrutiny as netizens often analyse their online behaviour to get a, um, deeper understanding of their private lives.
One of the most recent things to have piqued the interest of netizens is a photo posted by Instagram user @ckng, who is believed to be working in showbiz. On May 15, he had uploaded a throwback snap that he took with Faye Wong and among the likes the post received was one from, surprise, surprise, Cecilia Cheung.
If you don't know better, you would probably be wondering what the issue is. After all, celebs like photos of other celebs all the time. But, you see, Faye and Ceci are part of what's possibly Asian showbiz's most convoluted love triangle. In 2000, Faye was dating Nicholas Tse, before he reportedly left her two years later for Cecilia, whom he married and had two boys with. That marriage ended in a very public divorce and Nic and Faye rekindled their love in 2014, and are apparently still dating.
Many believe that Cecilia and Faye are on bad terms because of this long-drawn-out saga, but Ceci liking a photo of Faye has led many to wonder if there's no more bad blood between the two.
“It’s not even a group photo and Faye’s face can be clearly seen. It couldn’t have been by accident, right?” one netizen mused. Another netizen had a different opinion, writing: “Cecilia often ‘likes’ her friends’ posts, and this person is one of her buddies. There’s nothing more to it. She might not have taken a clear look [at the pic] either.”
With all the discussion surrounding just one 'like', it’s likely that Cecilia might have already caught wind of the speculation. Yet, at press time, she has not removed her ‘like’, which further excited netizens. One gushed: “The two of them are so beautiful. I would love to see them in a photo together. It would be one for the books.”
