This time, online trolls have turned on Hongkong actress Charmaine Sheh, who posted a collage of Team China at the Olympics.
The 46-year-old wrote: “Success is the sum of efforts and perseverance. These stunning photos speak for themselves. Am so touched and proud! Keep it up!”
Netizens also discovered that Charmaine has changed her Weibo description from 'Hongkong actress to “Chinese Hongkong actress”.
Chinese netizens, on the other hand, have been singing Charmaine’s praises, with one netizen calling her “a beauty that loves her motherland” and another saying that the actress “is a star worthy of us spending our money on”.
