According to the rapper, he’d fallen asleep on Saturday (June 19) while a scented candle was still lit, and the unattended flame set fire to his house. He suffered second-degree burns on 40 per cent of his body, including his face.

Zhenzhen shared that he's pulled through the critical stage, and was thus able to record a short video to show the extent of his injuries. He revealed that while his condition is stable now, he still has to remain warded for further observation and treatment.

“I hope this serves as a warning for you guys, to remember to put out any open flames before sleeping or leaving the house, and also to install a fire protection system in your own residence,” he wrote.

He also thanked the healthcare workers at Guangzhou Hospital where he's warded. [They're] very knowledgeable and are taking good care of me, so there's no need to worry too much, he assured fans.
