Coco Lee’s Emo Weibo Post Sparks Rumours That She And Her Billionaire Husband Are Getting A Divorce

Is Hongkong pop diva Coco Lee’s marriage to Canadian billionaire Bruce Rockowitz on the rocks? At least that’s what netizens are speculating after the 45-year-old singer wrote a contemplative post about “mending a broken spirit” on Weibo yesterday (Jul 13).

“To mend a broken spirit, you need an abundance of courage and time. Courage isn’t inherent. It is cultivated by continuously learning, improving and striving… I am still in the process of learning and striving. I hope…” she wrote.

On the same day, she also shared this post, which she hashtagged #soulhealing, on Instagram.

While it is not known what caused her to write the post, which seemed out of character from Coco's usually fun and upbeat updates, they led many to wonder if there's trouble in her nine-year marriage with the 61-year-old businessman. Some were quick to speculate that the pair were getting a divorce and Coco's name quickly became a hotly-searched term.

Some of Coco's fans also came to her defense and left messages of support for the singer.

“It sounds to me like you have been hurt. Chin up and stay strong!” wrote one fan, while another commented: “Cheer up, Coco! We all love and support you.”

Her post appears to have been deleted as of today (Jul 14).

Coco and Bruce, 61, made headlines when they tied the knot in a lavish wedding ceremony in Hongkong in 2011. Bruce, who is the former CEO of Hongkong-based supply chain management company Li & Fung, is estimated to be worth more than 4bil yuan (S$800mil). He has two teenage daughters from his previous marriage and Coco reportedly gets along very well with the girls.

Though Coco once said that it doesn’t matter if she has children of her own, the singer underwent In-Vitro Fertilisation (IVF) treatment in 2018. (A pregnancy) is a gift from god, and even if it doesn’t happen, it’s alright,” she said.
