On April 14, Eric Tsang turned 68. And according to Alan Tam, he had planned to throw a surprise party for Eric.

However, that did not work out in the end ‘cos Eric had a work meeting that night. Yes, Eric, who was recently appointed as TVB’s Deputy General Manager and special advisor to the executive committee, was working OT even on his birthday.

Nevertheless, Alan still managed to meet up with Eric, and the duo sat down together for some drinks.

But there was yet another “complication”.

You see, Eric’s apparently the type to conk out as soon as he drinks, and we reckon his busy work schedule probably did not help at all.

And once Alan saw that Eric had fallen asleep, the 70-year-old immediately took the opportunity to tease Eric.

Apart from taking photos with the birthday boy, who was sound asleep, Alan also made sure to give Eric a peck on the cheek.

Unfortunately, it appears that Alan’s kiss did not manage to wake ‘Sleeping Beauty’ Eric up. However, netizens were more than pleased to see the pictures of the two artistes clowning around.

“There’s no harm in pretending to sleep for a bit, in order to obtain a kiss [from Alan],” one netizen laughed, while another made this very astute observation: “I can’t help but feel that Eric really resembles Big Potato [from the Hongkong comic series, Old Master Q].
