Fan Bingbing Now Earning Money Through Livestream Auctions; Sells S$2mil Worth Of Face Masks In 4 Minutes
S-Hook Lady, are you watching this?
Tabloid magnet Fan Bingbing may have hit a rough patch after her split with fiancé Chinese actor Li Chen and her high-profile tax evasion scandal but she’s sparing no effort in making a comeback.
Just like Aaron Kwok and Nicholas Tse, the 37-year-old Chinese actress has decided to try her hand at China’s latest e-commerce trend, live-stream auctioning. Yes, just like our very own S-hook lady.
Bingbing, who’s known to be a huge fan of face masks, recently partnered up with billionaire heir Wang Sicong's ex-girlfriend, influencer Xue Li, to promote her beauty line, Fan Beauty.
At a live-stream introducing her latest diamond and sea grape masks, the superstar managed to get her products flying off the shelves in just four minutes. The amount she sold? A whopping 110,000 face masks totaling 10mil yuan (S$2mil).
However, Bingbing’s live-stream attempt came with much controversy when netizens mocked her for being reduced from a big star to an online influencer.
“Did you guys forget about her tax evasion scandal?” a netizen wrote. “What? She’s becoming an online seller now?” questioned another.
But who are we to judge Bingbing’s money-making attempts anyway? After all, she’s already paid off a staggering RMB 883mil (S$176mil) in overdue taxes and fines. Girl’s gotta make some money back.
