JJ Lim VS JJ Lin: Netizens Think Workers’ Party Candidate Jamus Lim Looks Like JJ Lin

Can you un/see it?

Homegrown singer JJ Lin doesn’t just have a supposed doppelgänger selling hotdogs in Chinatown — he also has one contesting in this year’s Singapore General Election. Well, that’s what some folks on the internet are saying, anyway.

After the first GE2020 political debate went on air, netizens took to forums and social media platforms to share their thoughts, and some pointed out that Workers’ Party candidate Jamus Lim resembles JJ.

In a way, they even have the same name: JJ’s birth name is Wayne Lim Jun Jie and Jamus’ full name is Jamus Jerome Lim Chee Wui, which makes him JJ Lim.

However, others think Jamus also looks like controversial blogger Amos Yee, and that they almost have the same style of speaking.

Even Jamus’ name sounds like it could be a combination of JJ’s and Amos’ names as well.
