Kenneth Ma And Natalie Tong Rubbish Rumours That They’re Getting Married In July

Netizens seem to have appointed themselves as Kenneth Ma’s matchmakers after his very public split from Jacqueline Wong. The actress’ cheating scandal dominated headlines for much of last year, and Kenneth’s constant calls for the public to stop vilifying Jacqueline has cemented his reputation as a good guy.

And netizens believe that this good guy deserves to find his happily ever after. And the person they most want the 46-year-old actor to end up with is his good friend Natalie Tong.

On May 10, which was also Mother’s Day, Natalie’s Instagram update sent netizens into a tizzy. “Mummy, I’m doing well. Don’t worry about me. I’ve prepared a present that I’ll give you in July. Remember to visit me then,” she wrote to her mother, who passed away in 2009 after suffering from a heart attack. The 39-year-old's post led many to assume that the 'present' she is talking about is a wedding and that the groom-to-be is Kenneth.

Natalie, however, has flatly denied this, replying with a “no” to a follower who commented: “I think she’ll be announcing that she’s in a relationship and that she’s getting married”.

Despite the actress clearing the air, Hongkong media decided that they had to check in with Kenneth as well, and they did so when he attended the press conference for his upcoming drama, The Exorcist’s 2nd Meter, on May 14. The friendly actor chuckled: “I honestly don’t know [what good news she has to share]. It’s none of my business, and I’ve been so busy with work that I haven’t kept in touch with her. I think she should be the one making the announcement for herself. I believe she will let everyone know [what it is] when the time comes.”

Undeterred, reporters asked if he celebrated her birthday with her on May 3, to which he simply shrugged and said: “Everyone has been busy. I haven’t had time to treat her to a birthday meal, and I hope that everyone [from the A Fistful of Stances cast] will have time to meet up soon.”
