Leon Lai And His Girlfriend Reportedly Trying For A Son
According to reports, the Heavenly King hopes to have a baby that's born in the Year of the Ox.
It is no secret that Leon Lai is a doting and devoted dad. Since the birth of his daughter in 2018, the Heavenly King has cut back on work to spend time with his baby girl.
And now Leon, 54, is looking to grow his family and hopes to have a baby in the Year of the Ox, at least that’s what the Hongkong media say.
According to reports, Leon and his 35-year-old girlfriend Wing Chan are trying for a son this year. And if they succeed, the fate of the “Four Heavenly Father-In-Laws” can finally be rewritten.
In case you haven’t heard, after Leon welcomed his baby girl, he and his fellow Heavenly Kings — Jacky Cheung, Andy Lau and Aaron Kwok — were dubbed the “Four Heavenly Father-In-Laws” as they all have daughters.
The notoriously private Leon is fiercely protective of his family. Little is known about his daughter — not even her name — and the family-of-three are rarely seen together in public.
In 2019, it was reported that the proud papa sold his Hongkong luxury mansion at a loss in order to set up a multi-million dollar education fund for his daughter, and the family now live in a house in Sheung Yue River — worth around HK$80mil (S$13.7mil) — owned by Leon’s company.
News of Leon and Wing’s relationship made headlines in 2018 after she was spotted entering and leaving his home often. Then, she was dubbed a “mini-version of Gaile Lok” 'cos of her resemblance to Leon’s ex-wife.
Prior to Leon, Wing, a former assistant-turned-sales manager at Leon’s record label AMusic, was rumoured to be dating actor-singer Aarif Rahman who was then an artiste under the label. Their close relationship eventually led to Wing's split from her former husband.
Her relationship with Aarif fizzled when he left the company to further his career in China.
