Chinese actress Cecilia Liu Shishi is probably best known for her role in the 2011 drama Scarlet Heart, where she met her husband, Taiwanese actor Nicky Wu. With her doe eyes and calm demeanour, the 33-year-old has always been thought of as being extremely refined and graceful.

But according to Shishi's good friend, Chinese actress Ni Ni, her public and private persona are vastly different. And her fans love it.

The bosom buds are currently promoting their upcoming drama, aptly titled My Best Friend’s Story, with Ni Ni revealing that the two of them used to share the same make-up artist. At that time, Ni Ni was not that close with Shishi, but she admired the latter’s “low-key and gentle personality”.

Later, they got even closer while filming My Best Friend’s Story, which was when Ni Ni realised that Shishi's actually quite forthright and, well, like one of the boys.

“When asked about how we interact in private, since we’re such good friends, I often want to talk about how she would never hesitate to pat her thigh and ask me to sit on it,” Ni Ni said. She went on to share that Shishi's personality is quite boyish and lively.

A couple of netizens later noted that Shishi's work studio had shared a picture of the actress doing some voice work for upcoming drama To Dear Myself a few weeks earlier. In the picture, Shishi can be seen sitting comfortably with her legs apart, just like how Ni Ni had described her in the interview.

“No wonder [her fans] call her Master Shi,” one netizen laughed, while another wrote: “Doesn’t everyone know about this aspect of Shishi already?”
