It’s been a year and a half since Cecilia Cheung gave birth to her youngest son Marcus, but she’s been able to keep the identity of the baby daddy such a well-kept secret that nobody — not even the notoriously resourceful Hongkong media — has been able to solve that mystery. Of course, multiple guesses have been thrown out there (some more outrageous than others), but they’ve all just been a stab in the dark.

Well, as it turns out, internet sleuths might have been on to something when they surmised that a Caucasian man, who’s made several appearances on Ceci’s socials in the past, could be the child’s father.

On May 12, Quintus Tse, Cecilia’s second child with ex-husband Nicholas Tse, turned 10 and had a simple birthday celebration with his mum and brothers at home. The 39-year-old actress posted a sweet photo of the family-of-four on Weibo, which marks the first time all three of her boys have been seen in the same photo.

Netizens marvelled at how much Lucas, 12, and Quintus have grown, and many pointed out that the birthday boy is looking more and more like his dad.

Although Marcus’ face was hidden (as usual), sharp-eyed fans quickly noticed something very interesting: His hair colour, which is noticeably much lighter than his mum’s and brothers’. This led to speculation that he could be a mixed-race baby, lending weight to the rumours that the Caucasian man we mentioned earlier could be his dad.

Then again, Cecilia herself has some British blood from her Eurasian mother Davies Shally, so maybe she just passed more of those ang moh genes to Marcus?
