Netizens Call Andy Lau “Cute” For Deleting A Photo And Then Replacing It With A Beauty-Filtered One
We would totally do the same too.
It seems like Heavenly King Andy Lau is also a fan of photo-editing app Mei Tu Xiu Xiu, judging from his latest post on his official fanclub website, Andy World Club.
On June 25, the 58-year-old published a blog post titled: “Good health this Dragon Boat Festival”. It was accompanied with a selfie and the caption: “Festivals make people miss their loved ones”.
However, his selfie was taken down shortly after, and replaced with a more um, airbrushed, one.
But by then, fans had already take a screenshot of his original post and were quick to point out the differences between the first and second selfie.
A netizen did a side-by-side comparison of the two photos, writing: “[On the left:] This pic is unedited. It was deleted a few seconds after it was posted and replaced with a second pic. Our idol is too cute. [On the right:] The first pic was replaced by this shot that was edited with a beauty filter.
Some fans felt that there wasn’t much of a difference — 'cos, you know, Andy’s perfect no matter what — and reasoned that the snap was deleted due to “the unflattering lighting and angle as well as Andy's awkward expression”. Other fans also noted that Andy looked “a little sad” in the first photo compared to the second one, which exuded “Andy Lau vibes”.
