When it comes to on-off celeb couples, few are as, um, on-off as Nicholas Tse, 40, and Faye Wong, 51.
It doesn't help that they are so determined to stay off the radar (and who can blame them?), they've only been spotted out in public a handful times over the course of their 21-year roller coaster relationship.
It's for this reason that the couple is almost always dogged by breakup rumours.
During Chinese New Year, rumours of a split made news again because of this pic (see above), where Faye's arm is seen around her assistant Ryan.
In fact, there was even talk that Faye is seeing Ryan because her “body language showed that she’s very close to him”.
Um, okay…
Nic was also said to have had gone snowboarding during the CNY period, which further fuelled the breakup rumours 'cos many netizens believe that a couple that’s serious about each other would not spend such an important holiday apart.
Neither Faye nor Nic publicly responded to the allegations, which led to some believing that its true.
However, all those breakup rumours were immediately put to rest this week when Nic was seen heading straight to Faye's Beijing home after touching down in the city. He was snapped arriving at her apartment, where he reportedly spent the night.
