Rosamund Kwan Gives Fans A Look Into Donnie Yen’s S$17.6mil House

Even she couldn’t help but marvel at his place.

Former Hongkong actress Rosamund Kwan may live in an impressive, multimillion-dollar home of her own, but even she couldn’t help but marvel at action superstar Donnie Yen’s place when she dropped by recently.

On Wednesday (Sep 2), Rosamund uploaded two photos of herself having a chat with Donnie in his living room. She wrote: “Old friends meeting again, chatting about life and enjoying a long and peaceful afternoon. Thank you [Donnie] for your hospitality. It was a happy tea party!”

There’s also a clip of her visit making the rounds on the internet. Just seconds after Donnie greeted her — with a pandemic-appropriate elbow bump, naturally — Rosamund immediately exclaimed, “So beautiful!” as she entered his home. She was also fascinated by the Wing Chun wooden dummy near the entrance (of course the Ip Man star would have one of those).

That’s certainly not the only piece of workout equipment in the Yen residence. Donnie also has a full-fledged gym — again, of course he would have one of those — that looks better-equipped than some actual commercial gyms.

According to Hongkong reports, Donnie owns six luxury properties in the city that, when added up, cover an area of about 13,200sqm. For comparison, a four-room HDB flat in Singapore is 90sqm, and a five-room flat is 110sqm. Yup.

The house that Rosamund visited has been dubbed “the strongest fortress” by the media and is said to be valued at HK$100mil (S$17.6mil). It was bought by Donnie in April 2013 and the ownership is split between himself and his wife Cissy Wang, with her owning 80 per cent and him just 20 per cent.

Not a bad rags-to-riches story for someone who once only had HK$100 (S$18) to his name.

Other resort-like facilities in their home include a swimming pool, jacuzzi, children’s playground (quite sure their kids, 16-year-old Jasmine and 13-year-old James, have outgrown that by now, though), barbecue area and more. There’s also a grand piano next to the living room, and yes, Donnie can tinkle the ivories just as well as he kicks butt. Check out the clip below:
