Taiwanese singer Show Luo might have fallen from grace following his big cheating scandal, but things sure are looking rosy for his ex-girlfriend, Chinese blogger Grace Chow. The 32-year-old’s clothing store saw a huge increase in sales, and she’s been busy partying it up and cosying up to her celeb friends, like Hongkong singer-actress Gillian Chung.

Oh, and she also received a super luxurious mansion as a birthday gift from her dad for her birthday last year. While Grace’s father’s exact identity is not known, it’s reported that he has a military background, currently heads a large state-owned corporation and has a net worth of $10bil yuan (S$2bil).

On Grace’s 32nd birthday last year, she revealed on Weibo her father's gift — a luxurious mansion that comes with a built-in, galaxy-themed cinema.

“Today, I received my most important gift~ [My] mum said that my dad told the renovation company that they had to finish everything a day before the 12th ‘cos the 12th is his daughter’s birthday,” Grace wrote, adding a picture of her posing on what appears to be the second floor of her new home.

The place also has a cinema that has a ceiling designed to look like the night sky ‘cos in Grace’s words: “My dad knows that I like the starry sky”.

Fancy.

Grace is currently starring in Chinese reality show, Fourtry2, where she revealed that she had no concept of money as a child. According to Grace, when she was younger, all she did was play with her classmates, which was why she had no idea that her family’s well, dripping with cash.

Hongkong actor William Chan then chimed in to ask about Grace’s new home, with Grace immediately inviting everyone over to check the place out. It all sounded very nice… until she followed up with this question: “You guys don’t have a cinema at home?”

Maybe Grace’s question was made in jest, or maybe she really was serious about it, but either way, her question took everyone by surprise.

Eventually though, William recovered enough with this reply that pretty much mirrored everyone’s feelings: “No, I only have a projector screen at home.”
