Singaporean Singer Huang Jinglun And His Wife Welcome Baby Boy
He's calling him Little Prince for now.
Sheila Sim isn’t the only local celebrity with a new addition to the family this week. Taiwan-based singer and host Huang Jinglun and his wife welcomed a baby boy yesterday (Sep 24).
The proud father shared the good news on Instagram, along with their first family pic. “A round of applause to welcome Little Lun! It’s been hard on my wife. It’s been hard on me too. [I’m] so tired. I’ve been tossing and turning all day, I only slept for an hour. I was listening to the nurse teach us how to carry the baby, change nappies, [but] I was so tired that everything she said went in one ear and came out of the other. And now, I am really a dad,” he wrote.
According to the singer’s manager, Jinglun’s 28-year-old wife was originally due on September 20. Before that, she experienced bleeding on a couple of occasions, but was sent home after a check-up.
She finally went into labour at 11pm on Wednesday and delivered their bundle of joy at 10am yesterday. Jinglun didn’t accompany his wife for the delivery.
As a first-time dad, Jinglun, 37, was understandably nervous and only managed to sleep one hour when his wife was in labour. According to reports, his pal, veteran Taiwanese actor-host Kuo Tzu Chien, was constantly on the phone with him and sending him text messages to calm him down. He even assured him that “all Libra boys are handsome”.
The couple have not thought of a name for their boy and have decided to call him“Little Prince” for the time being.
Jinglun dropped a bombshell on his 37th birthday in July, announcing that he was not only married, but was also expecting a baby with his wife of two months.
He has been very private about his wife, cropping or covering her face in photos, and has not revealed any details about her. According to Taiwanese media, she is nicknamed “Little Assistant” and works as ground staff for a Taiwanese airline.
