Takuya Kimura’s Two Daughters Want To Marry Men Who Are More Handsome Than He Is
One of them is rumoured to be dating a lookalike of another Japanese star.
If it's true that women look for male partners who are like their fathers, then the daughters of 47-year-old Japanese star Takuya Kimura, Mitsuki and Kokomi Kimura (aka Koki and Cocomi), have set an extremely high bar (and then some) for themselves.
During a recent Instagram Live session to celebrate Cocomi’s 19th birthday, the girls got to talking about the kind of men they wish to marry.
After checking their surroundings to make sure their old man wasn’t around to hear them, Koki said that she and Cocomi made an oath when they were kids. “We often looked at pictures of our dad when he was young, and we both agreed that we want to marry people who are even more handsome than he is, she revealed.
However, that might not be such a far-fetched idea after all. According to Japanese media, Cocomi is currently dating one of her high school classmates, and he’s said to bear a resemblance to 35-year-old actor Toma Ikuta, who has been called “the second Takuya Kimura”.
Thanks to her famous parents — mum is singer Shizuka Kudo — and her role as student body president, Cocomi is very well-known and popular in school. However, it looks like that has made her a prime target for gossip as well since it was another student who divulged the deets about her beau.
But it doesn’t sound like Cocomi makes an effort to hide it anyway. It's said that Cocomi and her boyfriend openly hug each other in school — is that even allowed, though? — and that they played the lead couple in a school musical (the guy reportedly turned down all other roles that would require him to pair up with other girls). They are also rumoured to be entering the same university, the Toho Gakuen School of Music, after graduation.
