Video Reveals Godfrey Gao Looking Exhausted On Chase Me Obstacle Course Before His Death

Heartbreaking.

Godfrey Gao was only 35 when he died from cardiac arrest during the filming of Chinese game show Chase Me. His sudden departure left everyone in shock, and social media was soon flooded with tributes from fans and celeb pals.

Soon after, a video of the late actor’s final moments surfaced online, revealing the heartbreaking scenes of Godfrey gradually getting weaker while running from obstacle to obstacle during the show.

When he started running up a slope, Godfrey could be seen slowing down, even holding onto a railing for support. But even as he stumbled onto the platform, he persevered to complete the obstacle.

Godfrey reportedly collapsed at 1.45am and it's said that by then, the star, who was battling the flu, had been working for 17 hours straight.

Distressed netizens have taken to social media to vent their anger at the show, and at the same time, praise Godfrey for his professionalism. “As much as you’re committed to your work, you needed to take care of your health,” wrote a heartbroken fan. “I still can’t believe he is gone,” cried another. “He looked so healthy.
