Wong Cho Lam Welcomes 2nd Daughter, Says He’s Thankful She Looks Nothing Like Him

When Wong Cho Lam, 40, and Leanne Li, 36, announced in 2009 that they were dating, the Hongkong comedian was ridiculed for going after a woman many thought was out of his league. It doesn't help that Leanne, who won the 2005 Miss Chinese International pageant, is 13cm taller than Cho Lam.

But the couple proved naysayers wrong when they got married in 2015 and Leanne gave birth to their daughter Gabrielle in 2018.

Cho Lam often talks about how he’s thankful that Gabrielle resembles Leanne more. “I’d have done my daughter wrong if she looks too much like me, he once said.

With the birth of his second daughter Hayley earlier this week, Cho Lam was happy to report that the newborn looks a lot like Gabrielle.

We had a sense of déjà vu when we saw her for the first time, and the only difference that we see is that Hayley’s nose is a little bigger,” said Cho Lam. “I’m so thankful that she looks nothing like me. It’s very important that she looks like her mum, and not me!”

Cho Lam and Leanne recently threw Gabrielle a birthday party, which according to Cho Lam, was the perfect time for Hayley to meet all their loved ones. “Everyone agrees that she’s pretty, just like her mum, said Cho Lam.
