Ewan McGregor Joins The Cast of Guillermo del Toro's Pinocchio
Robert Zemeckis is also making a 'Pinocchio' movie for Disney.

Ewan McGregor has been added to the cast of Guillermo del Toro's Pinocchio movie.
The 48-year-old Harley: Quinn Birds of Prey actor has joined Tilda Swinton and David Bradley in Netflix's stop-motion animated film, which is slated for release in 2021.
The Shape of Water auteur is co-helming the movie with Fantastic Mr Fox animation director Mark Gustafson, with Bradley as the voice Pinocchio's creator, Geppetto.
The cast also includes Christoph Waltz and del Toro regular Ron Perlman, who previously starred in Blade II, Hellboy and Pacific Rim.
It's not known what part McGregor will play in the upcoming adaptation of Carlo Collodi's children fable.
Meanwhile, there is another Pinocchio movie in the works at Disney — Robert Zemeckis is doing a live-action remake of Walt Disney's beloved 1940 animated classic.
Zemeckis is currently working on Roald Dahl's The Witches', starring Anne Hathaway, and is slated for release in October.
Hathaway will play the Grand High Witch, a part made famous by fellow Academy Award winner Anjelica Huston in the 1990 motion picture. — BANG
