Hollywood Reacts To Original Buffy The Vampire Slayer Star Kristy Swanson Protesting Donald Trump’s Removal From Home Alone 2

The 'Buffy the Vampire Slayer' star Kristy Swanson is a big Donald Trump supporter.

Kristy Swanson took one for the team when she came to the defense of out-going President Donald Trump and protested the removal of his cameo in the 1992 movie Home Alone 2: Lost in New York.

A staunch Trump supporter, the 51-year-old actress, best known for her titular role in the 1992 movie Buffy the Vampire Slayer, tweeted over the weekend, “If Cancel Culture is really going to have Donald J. Trump removed from the John Hughes movie ‘Home Alone,’ then in support of MY PRESIDENT, I’d like to have myself officially removed from the John Hughes’ films, ‘Pretty In Pink” and “Ferris Buhler’s (sic) Day Off.

Swanson had blink-and-you’ll-miss appearances (when you’re not famous, it’s not called a cameo) in two Hughes-produced films, Pretty in Pink and Ferris Bueller’s Day Off. Hughes also wrote Home Alone 2.

The 51-year-old actress’s continual support for Trump — who incited the attack on Capitol Hill on Jan 6 — didn’t go down well with Trump’s critics, including some celebrities, who took to Twitter to roast Swanson.

This is weak, Kristy. I was removed from AS GOOD AS IT GETS and BAD SANTA years before Trump even THOUGHT of running for President. That’s how I support MY leader. Why do you hate America? https://t.co/R3zZ1HbrjT— Patton Oswalt (@pattonoswalt) January 16, 2021
