Reservations Required For Entry To Sentosa Beaches During Peak Periods From Oct 17. Here's How To Book
Plan ahead for your next jaunt to Siloso, Palawan or Tanjong Beach.
From Oct 17, you’ll have to make a reservation online if you want to visit the beaches at Sentosa — Tanjong, Palawan and Siloso Beaches — during peak periods, such as weekends and public holidays. Pre-booking is also required for game courts on the beaches of Sentosa.
Guests will not need to pre-book on weekdays, though entry is subject to capacity limits. Sentosa’s beaches are closed between 7pm and 8am daily.
How to pre-book beach entry into Sentosa
Bookings will have to be made via www.sentosa.com.sg/beachreservations. Guests can choose from two timeslots: morning (8am-1pm) and afternoon (2pm-7pm). You can pre-book a visit for up to five people in a group. Pre-bookings can be made up to seven days before your date of visit, subject to capacity limits.
Tanjong, Palawan and Siloso beaches have been segmented into a total of seven zones, each with a capacity limit of 100 to 350 people, in line with safe distancing measures. Bookings will open from Oct 10 for visits from Oct 17 onwards.
Here’s what the beach zones look like:
Palawan Beach Zones
Siloso Beach Zones
Tanjong Beach Zones
In addition to standard safe management measures, Safety Rings have been progressively set up around the beaches (below). These are to indicate demarcated spots where groups of up to five may gather, while observing a minimum safe distance of 1m from other groups.
Once you arrive at the beach on the day of your visit, head to the Beach Entry Kiosk in your selected zone and present your e-mail confirmation. Upon verification, you’ll be issued a wristband for admission into the beach zone. You’ll have access to the selected beach zone only for your reserved timeslot. Guests who decide to change their plans after making a booking are reminded to cancel their reservations and give up their slots to other guests.
The 15 beach courts at Tanjong, Palawan and Siloso beaches will be up for bookings as well. So if you fancy a game of beach volleyball (in groups of five or less only, please), you’ll need to book these game courts. Guests who book beach courts will not be required to make a separate booking for beach entry. And like standard safe distancing rules, no intermingling is allowed between different groups of players or across courts.
Those visiting F&B outlets at Sentosa’s beaches are strongly encouraged to make reservations or pre-purchase tickets (where applicable) directly with the respective establishments before their arrival. Pre-booking entry to the beach is still required for F&B guests.
According to a media statement released today (Sep 23) by Sentosa Development Corporation (SDC), the reservation-only entry system into Sentosa’s beaches will be trialled for an initial three months, with reviews and adjustments made where necessary. It’s put in place as crowds and queues have been building up during peak periods. The system is aimed at facilitating safe management measures and to reduce queues and waiting times to enter the beaches. SDC’s safe distancing ambassadors and enforcement officers will also regularly patrol and take enforcement action on individuals or businesses who flout the rules.
