These Are The Gyms & Fitness Studios That Are Still Open During P2HA (Jul 22-Aug 18)

Fitness enthusiasts don’t have to fret about losing gains during Phase 2 (Heightened Alert) v2.0 that spans from Jul 22 to Aug 18. Some fitness studios in Singapore remain open, but they're offering modified workouts and classes to adhere to Sport SG guidelines. Under current regulations, masks must be always kept on for both indoor and outdoor fitness classes, among other safe management measures.

F45 Training Studios

Several F45 Training studios in Singapore are keeping their doors open during P2HA. Masks have to be kept on during the 45-min sweat sessions, so the intensity of classes have been modified to suit the mask-on policy.
Some like F45 Training Tai Seng (pictured) are adopting a 13-pod format (up to two participants per pod) for their mask-on low intensity functional training workouts in studio. The Tai Seng outpost is also offering virtual workouts on Zoom for members who prefer to stay home to workout.

Fans of fitness classes under the True Group can still burn those calories, albeit at lower-intensity versions of the classes so that it’s still safe to do with masks on. Modified versions of popular classes — including BodyCombat, BodyJam, BodyAttack, Zumba, Sh’bam and yoga — are taking place at True Group’s seven locations islandwide: True Fitness Harbourfront, TFX Millenia Walk, True Fitness ESR BizPark @ Chai Chee, True Fitness Tampines Junction, True Fitness Great World City, True Fitness Ang Mo Kio, and TFX Pacific Plaza.
Aside from mask-wearing at all times during class, other safe management measures employed include having members bring their own equipment for selected classes. There are also 45-min Bodyweight MobilityX classes offered to members who prefer to work out on the gym floor.

Virgin Active MBS SkyPark Yoga

Yes, you can now do yoga atop Marina Bay Sands at the SkyPark on the 57th level, at Virgin Active’s SkyPark sunrise and sunset yoga classes that run until the end of the year. Virgin Active’s six studios may be closed from Jul 22 to Aug 18, but it’s still holding 16 weekly SkyPark Yoga classes. There are 30 mats available per 45-minute class, and masks have to be kept on throughout the class.
You don’t have to be an existing member to join a class — each sesh is priced at $30 for the public, $20 for Sands Rewards LifeStyle members and $15 for existing Virgin Active members. More info here.

For yoga in more familiar settings, there are the six Yoga Movement outlets islandwide. No mats or props will be provided, so you’ll have to bring your own. Masks have to be kept on throughout practice — of course, class intensity will be modified with this in mind as well. More info here.
The boutique fitness studio has taken its strength and conditioning classes outdoors — at an open-air space at street level where its Shenton Way digs is at, specifically. Participants will have to keep their masks on. Each 45-min strength and conditioning sesh will incorporate kettlebells, dumbbells and resistance bands in the workout (no equipment will be shared). Classes are priced at $15, and have a maximum capacity of 12 pax. More info here.
