Every time you leave the house to go to work, your dog either glares at you with utmost disdain, or tempts you to call in sick with those heart-melting puppy dog eyes. These guilt trips are so unbearable, you install security cameras at home, just so you can spy on your pooch from the office. But creeping on Crunch isn’t quite the same as having him by your side at your desk.

Pawrents, does all this sound familiar? Ever wished you could take your dog to work with you?

1 of 12 Well, now you can

There’s a co-working space in Singapore, and it’s a pet-friendly one. Gather, the swanky new co-working digs by Cathay Organisation, is one of the rare workplaces in Singapore where pets are welcome. We’re not sure why this doesn't happen more often. After all, studies have shown that bringing your pet to work reduces stress, increases creativity and productivity. Plus, it could be a great ice-breaker to chat up that hottie from that other start-up. As for Fido? He’s less likely to develop anxiety issues if he’s out and about the whole day.

2 of 12 The more we get to Gather

Spanning more than 13,000sqft over three floors, Gather’s soothing pink and earthy hues make for a warm and welcoming space. Great for work…and for the ’gram.

Interior design maestros Takenouchi Webb are responsible for the look at Gather. They’re the same folks behind the luxe-chic Straits Clan, so you know it’s definitely going to be brimming with Instagrammable and on-trend features — marble finishings, terrazzo table tops, brass accents, to name a few.

Also Insta-ready are these private phone booths for your confidential calls. Just make sure Scooby’s a great keeper of secrets.

5 of 12 Table manners

While the humans pay a monthly membership fee of $900 per pax, there are no additional charges for your furry companion. Still, it doesn’t mean you let him run wild at work. It’s best to bring your pup only if you’re paw-sitively sure he’s toilet-trained, though staff here are prepared for any accidents that may occur.

At the end of the day, you’re here for the hustle, so what exactly are the workspace options available? There are a total of 12 offices of varying sizes — these run the gamut from fully-furnished private offices that accommodate as many as eight pax, to larger customisable spaces for up to 40 people.

  • 8 of 12 Perk life

Gather’s ethos of a holistic work-life balance is one we can get behind. Besides bringing their furry pals to work, members get to enjoy other benefits from Gather’s partners, which range from fitness and wellness companies (F45 and Natureland, among others) to F&B joints (Publico, Craftsmen Specialty Coffee and more). Talks and workshops are also held regularly so members can keep their networking game strong.

  • 9 of 12 Puppuccino, anyone?

If you need a midday caffeine boost or just a stiff drink after a hard day’s work, head to the stylish communal bar, amply stocked with coffee machines and drinks. For an extended break, there’s a myriad of nearby F&B eateries in the Roberston Quay area to pick from. Take your pooch out for a potty break and head to dog-friendly cafes such as Common Man Coffee Roasters just downstairs, while Three Buns and Publico are a few minutes’ walk away.
