Trailer Watch: Eleven Revisits Her Dark Past In Stranger Things 4

Season 3 came out in July 2019. Yes, it’s been that long.

The last time we heard from Netflix’s supernatural retro show was in February 2020 when it dropped a teaser informing everyone that Jim Hopper (David Harbour) is very much alive and kicking…in Russia.

And now the streaming giant has released another teaser.

This one takes place in a facility where a bunch of kids, with shaved heads and in hospital gowns, are in a playroom.

Then we see a white-haired dude (is that Matthew Modine’s Dr Martin Brenner, the scientist who ran Hawkins Lab?) walking into the room and the children call him “Papa”.

The clip then shows a room with an ‘11’ number plate. It looks like Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown) is held there against her will, maybe. A voice off-camera says, “Eleven, are you listening?”, and the telepath wakes up from her slumber.

The minute-long teaser doesn’t say much, actually. Is Eleven captured? Or is this flashback? Perhaps this is all but a dream? It ends abruptly with no info on a launch date — will it be ready for Fourth of July (like Season 3) or Halloween (like Season 2)?

Filming on Season 4 started in January 2020 but was suspended two months later due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Production resumed in October.

In November, the show added new cast members, including Jamie Campbell Bower (The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones), Tom Wlaschiha (Game of Thrones), and Robert Englund. Yes, Robert ‘Freddy muffin Krueger’ Englund.
