Song Joong Ki Announces Marriage To Girlfriend Katy Louise Saunders, Who Is Pregnant With Their First Child
The actor shared the happy news via a letter to his fans on his fan page.
Korean actor Song Joong Ki, 37, is married.
The star took to his official fan page earlier today (Jan 30) to reveal that he has married his girlfriend, British former actress Katy Louise Saunders.
He also announced that they have a baby on the way.
In his letter to his fans, Joong Ki wrote that he wanted to share “an important and happy promise” that he made.
He expressed his admiration for his 38-year-old wife, adding that she has “a kind heart”, has “lived her life passionately”, and is “sensible and amazing”.
“Thanks to her, I’m becoming a better person,” he wrote.
He then added that both he and Katy have dreamed of having a “happy family” and they are thankful to be blessed “with a new life”.
Joong Ki also said they registered their marriage today.
He went on to thank his fans for their support, and promised to work harder and to do even better in the future.
Joong Ki was married to actress Song Hye Kyo for two years, before getting divorced in July 2019.
His agency only confirmed the news of his new relationship last December, and Korean media and netizens were quick to find out Katy's identity, with many speculating that she's pregnant.
