Taiwan Crime Stories

Twelve-part anthology series — co-produced by Ron Howard’s Imagine Entertainment — about four real-life bizarre crime cases in Taiwan involving a train derailment insurance scam, a family massacre, the murder of an elementary school teacher, and a child homicide on a military base. The cast includes Vivian Sung, Frederick Lee, Rhydian Vaughan and Chen Yi-Wen.

Copenhagen Cowboy

From Nicolas Winding Refn, the director of Drive, comes this six-part neon-drench noir series about a young woman (Angela Bundalovic) seeking revenge in the underworld of the Danish capital. Along the way, she picks a fight or two with the Serbian and Asian crime families.

Payback: Money and Power

Parasite’s Lee Sun-Kyun (the guy with the deep sonorous voice) stars in the 12-part series as a money trader who teams up with an army officer (Moon Chae-Won) and a prosecutor (Kang Yoo-Seok) to take on a criminal syndicate. Good luck!

South Korea with Alexander Armstrong

Pick up sightseeing tips from the British actor-comedian as he explores South Korea in this three-part travelogue. Highlights include the Gyeongbokgung Palace, restaurants with robot servers, and a poo café.

The Pale Blue Eye

Whodunit set in the 19th century with Christian Bale as a world-weary detective hired to look into the murder of a West Point cadet – with the help of one of the academy’s students, Edgar Allan Poe (Harry Melling). The Scott Cooper-helmed thriller also stars Gillian Anderson, Lucy Boynton, Charlotte Gainsbourg and Toby Jones.

Where The Crawdads Sing

Another murder mystery, this one set in the marshes of the Deep South. Daisy Edgar-Jones plays a young woman accused of murdering a man with whom she was once involved. Based on the novel by Delia Owens, and featuring Taylor Swift’s Golden Globe-nominated song ‘Carolina’.
