This underdog comedy from Taika Waitit stars Michael Fassbender as a loser coach hired to prep the American Samoa football team — notorious for a 2001 FIFA match which they lost 31-0 — for the World Cup qualifiers. Based on a true story (sorta). Say, maybe there’s a movie to be made about Singapore’s 7-0 defeat to Malaysia at last year’s SEA Games… Jack Neo, you interested?

The Wages of Fear

French thriller about a team drivers — including Franck Gastambide, Alban Lenoir and Ana Girardot — hired to transport 200kg of explosives across a war zone to avert a catastrophe. By the way, they have less than 20 hours to complete the job. No pressure. The story was previously made into a 1953 movie by Henri-Georges Clouzot and again in 1977 — under the title Sorcerer — by William Friedkin.

If you only recently discovered Steve Martin on Only Murders in the Building, then this documentary by Oscar recipient Morgan Neville (Twenty Feet from Stardom) will shed light on Martin’s five-decade-long career, dating back to the 1970s when he was gloriously known as the ‘Wild and Crazy Guy’.
