Cool Hotels

The Girl He Never Noticed

First, Slow Dancing. And now another Wattpad e-novel gets turned into a series. It’s another will-they-won’t-they romance — based on a story by Neilani Alejandrino — between a billionaire bad boy (Filipino heartthrob Marco Gumabao) and a barista and single mum (Malaysian theatre thesp Tess Pang). Think Fifty Shades of Grey, but with the S&M replaced by coffee. Or something like that.

Watch the first episode below:

Blonde

Brad Pitt is one of the producers of this buzzy reimagined biopic of Marilyn Monroe, featuring an Oscar-worthy performance by Ana de Armas as the legendary icon. Directed by Andrew Dominik (The Assassination Of Jesse James), the movie also stars Adrien Brody, Bobby Cannavale and Xavier Samuel.

Watch it on: Netflix Wed

Hocus Pocus 2

Is 29 years a long time to wait for a sequel? Probably. This follow-up to the 1993 flop-turned-cult classic sees Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker and Kathy Najimy reprising their roles as the Sanderson sisters, a trio of 17th Salem witches back to wreak havoc in the 21st century.

Watch it on: Disney+, Fri

Close to Me

Six-part limited series — based on a novel by Amanda Reynolds — starring Connie Nielsen (Wonder Woman’s Queen Hippolyta) as an amnesiac woman who discovers that her perfect life with her husband (Christopher Eccleston) is far from perfect.
