This Taiwanese actor had to use his pregnant wife’s belly support belt after spraining his back

Edison Wang even joked that his 8-month-pregnant wife Sharon Hsu’s mobility is better than his now.

Taiwanese actor Edison Wang, 35, took to his Facebook earlier this week to share an encounter that left him with no choice but to don his pregnant wife’s belly support belt.

As it turns out, the actor sprained his lower back recently, and had to ice the injury. Unfortunately, he had no bandages at home to wrap the ice pack to his back. After a quick search, the ‘resourceful’ actor and his wife, Taiwanese singer-actress Sharon Hsu, 41, decided on an alternative — Sharon’s belly support belt.

A belly support belt is an elastic band that pregnant women wear to help support the weight of their unborn baby, and alleviate pressure on their lower body.

That's a whole lotta support.

“It just [so happened] that my back’s sprained, and that I needed to ice it. We didn’t have bandages at home, and only had a belly support belt,” Edison wrote, explaining their decision.

Though he didn’t share any pictures of him with the band on, Edison did share that the band worked well enough when used to hold the ice pack in place, against his lower back.

In sickness and in health.

Continuing, Edison sighed: “Now, we have a pregnant woman at home and someone who can only lie on the sofa after spraining his back, my mobility is worse than a pregnant lady.”

Edison and Sharon tied the knot in 2022, and are expecting their first child, a daughter. Sharon was previously married to former Taiwanese boy band B.A.D member Alex Tien from 2009 to 2012. Alex tied the knot with Singaporean actress Yvonne Lim in 2014.
