Taiwanese Star Yao Yao Complains That She Always Pays For Her Boyfriend When They Travel 'Cos He Doesn’t Carry Enough Cash
And one time when she told him to pay her back, he asked for a breakdown.

By the time you’re done reading this story, you might just be wondering — um, they’re still together?
Taiwanese star Huang Chiao Hsin, better known as Yao Yao, recently went public with her peeve that boyfriend, Korean actor Alan Lee, has a habit of not carrying enough cash when they travel.
Yao Yao shared on variety show Tonight Like War that whenever they travelled, she would have to take care of the nitty gritty like packing their luggage, making sure they had their passports, and filling up the arrival cards.
And more often that not, Alan would run out of money and she would have to pick up the slack and pay for stuff.
Despite her constant reminders to carry more cash, Andy would tell her that they could pay with credit card at the destination, and that he would “deal with it when the time comes”. And almost always, history would repeat itself.
Andy prefers to pay with credit card
Yao Yao shared that they once went to Japan with Andy’s parents. Andy told her that they could use their credit cards there, and she took about 30,000 yen (about S$341) in cash.
When they were there, he was low on cash as usual, and she wound up footing the bills. (Guess they couldn’t go completely cashless in Japan.)
When they returned to Taiwan, Yao Yao asked him to pay her back. She maintained that since they were not married, they should draw the line when it came to money matters.
However, Andy was skeptical when he saw the amount and asked for a breakdown. He even questioned one item on the list.
She said she couldn’t believe that he was so calculating and that they ended up quarrelling over 10,000 yen (about S$113).
Hmm, maybe they should only travel to places that accept cashless payments everywhere?
