Toa Payoh’s Popular Lixin Teochew Fishball Noodles Among New Hawker Entrants For Michelin Bib Gourmand List 2022
Its fellow popular Kim Keat Palm Market & Food Centre neighbour Hai Nan Xing Zhou Beef Noodle made it to the list too.

The Michelin Guide Singapore has unveiled its Bib Gourmand list for 2022, and nine local eateries have made the list for the first time. Of the nine, five are restaurants, three are hawker stalls, and one is a “street food establishment” (we will get to that later).
Arguably the most well-known hawker entrant is Kim Keat Palm Market & Food Centre’s Lixin Teochew Fishball Noodles, which was established in 1968 and has since expanded to a 10-outlet chain including a branch at Ion Orchard. It is famous for its handmade yellowtail fishballs and herh keow.
Another Kim Keat Food Centre stall that made it to the list is Hai Nan Xing Zhou Beef Noodle, which serves both ox bone soup noodles with beef slices, tendon and offal as well as a dry version with a thick, dark gravy. Kelantan Kway Chap & Pig Organ Soup in Berseh Food Centre is also included in the guide.

The Michelin Guide Singapore makes a distinction between hawker stalls and kopitiam stalls, which it calls “street food establishments”. The newly-minted Bib Gourmand coffeeshop pick is Sing Lung HK Cheong Fun at Beach Road.

Other notable non-hawker new inclusions are Balinese restaurant Cumi Bali, wine bar Fool, prawn noodle specialist One Prawn & Co, unagi joint Unagi Tei and Isan eatery Un-Yang-Kor-Dai.
