Embrace yourself: a firestorm is coming!

Aaron Kwok, Louis Koo, and Lau Ching Wan are embroiled in a drug war in The White Storm 3: Heaven or Hell. 

The Hong Kong action flick, directed by Herman Yau (Shock Wave), is the latest chapter in the White Storm series, which started with 2013’s The White Storm, followed by 2019’s The White Storm 2: Drug Lords.

The movies have no narrative ties except they all deal with the dope trade and the fearless lawmen trying to destroy it.

In Heaven or Hell, Kwok is undercover agent Cheung who’s infiltrated a drug syndicate led by Lau Ching Wan’s Kang, while Koo is Au, Cheung’s boss at the Narcotics Bureau. Needless to say, shit goes sideways when Cheung’s cover is blown and all hell breaks loose. Or something like that. Expect plenty of stunts and explosions, including one scene involving a fighter jet attacking a drug lord’s stronghold.

The White Storm 3: Heaven or Hell opens in cinemas on July 20. Yes, it's out on the same day as Oppenheimer and Barbie.
