Trailer Watch: Avatar: The Way of Water Reveals More Footage Of Pandora’s Stunning Aquatic Landscape

The new trailer arrives six months after the teaser was introduced at CinemaCon.

The new trailer for James Cameron’s Avatar: The Way of Water takes audiences to the deep blue seas of Pandora.

The sequel to 2009’s Avatar is set more than a decade after the events of the first movie and follows the Sully Family — Jake (Sam Worthington), Neytiri (Zoe Saldana) and their brood —  as they defend their homeland against human invaders. The movie also stars Sigourney Weaver, Stephen Lang, Michelle Yeoh, Vin Diesel and Kate Winslet.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the sequel — the first of four in the works — clocks in at around 190 (!) minutes. Plan your pee breaks.

The original Avatar was 162 minutes long; a special DVD/Blu-Ray edition was released in 2010 with an extra eight minutes of footage.

Avatar: The Way of Water opens in Singapore cinemas on Dec 15. Watch the new trailer here:
